Stacks (RapidWeaver plugin) 4.1.3

GIF Viewer is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping users open and view the contents stored within GIF files.
Automatically plays loaded files
It sports a clean and simplistic layout that offers only a few configuration settings to tinker with.
As soon as you run the program, you are required to select the GIF file to be opened. The utility lets you add items to the list using the built-in browse function, so you cannot rely on the “drag and drop” support.
What’s more, GIF Viewer gives you the possibility to choose the quality (low or high), make file associations, and switch to a full screen mode for a better focus on your work.
Set quality and export frames of interest
The application is able to open both animated and non-animated GIF items, and lets you play or stop the current files, seek for a position in the video frame, as well view the frame rate displayed in the primary panel.
One of the top features bundled into GIF Viewer is a smart system designed to give you a hand when it comes to extracting frames. It is possible to specify the saving directory, pick the filename, and select the output format (e.g. BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, EMF).
During our testing we have noticed that GIF Viewer provides very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
On an ending note
To sum things up, GIF Viewer offers an intuitive layout and a decent feature pack for helping you view GIF files and save frames to a file.

BanishCD is a small utility that allows you to easily change the path that Windows will look for CAB files on the CD. Normally, the only way this could be done would be to modify the registry manually, which is a very tricky process, and if you make a mistake it can be hard to repair. With BanishCD, you can quickly browse through your system and select the path; and just in case you make a mistake it will store the original path.

I did a quick look through this article and I think it’s probably best to download the full version of this tool. But since I already had a free copy, I did a quick look through it.

BanishCD – This tool will let you browse to the directory where you want your CD-ROM or CD-RW to look for any CAB files installed on the drive. It’s easy, just click and browse your way to the drive, and you’re done.

FileServe – You can use FileServe for just about any FTP site out there. Download your free copy here.

X-CD-Cloner – There are several reasons why you’d want to use X-CD-Cloner. However, if you do a quick google search, you’ll find many articles on how to use it. I’ve decided to save you the trouble and just post this review of X-CD-Cloner. X-CD-Cloner – This tool will create a bootable CD or DVD to take your computer off of the network. It will create a DVD-like optical disc that you can use to boot your computer from. It can also clone your C: drive onto another computer. A demo version is available.

It’s a fantastic way to protect your computer. Even if you’re using a computer that has a fixed IP address, it’s still possible for someone to see your files.

Also, I use it every time I try a new laptop (I don’t have a lot of room on my harddrive, so I like to back up my files before I wipe everything off and install a fresh copy). There are a few ways to back up your files and one of them is to use a portable USB harddrive to back up to. In the past, I always used an external harddrive, but it got really messy having to open it up and back up, copy the files to the drive, then close it up and put it away.
