DeepBurner Free Portable is a CD/DVD burning solution that can be easily transferred on a removable drive and loaded without prior installation.
The application asks the user from the start about the type of project to be created, so you can choose to burn either a data CD or DVD, an audio disc or just burn an ISO image.
Everything’s designed as a wizard, so pressing “Next” gets you to a new screen where you have to configure multisession, with three different options at your disposal: create multisession disk, append session or no multisession at all.
It’s pretty easy to place new files on the disc; you can use either the dedicated “Add Files” buttons or take advantage of the drag and drop support to simply drag the files over the new project’s window.
Besides the fact that it provides almost the same information as any other burning solution out there, DeepBurner Free Portable also boasts advanced features for editing the autorun menu, again with a well-developed wizard to guide you through the process.
You can configure the shape and the appearance of the buttons and define custom commands, such as launching a program, browsing for a folder, sending an email or visiting a website.
Additionally, the application allows you to set up the print label, with multiple built-in templates included, such as pocket CD, slim CD, normal CD, simple or regular DVD. Text and photos are obviously supported.
DeepBurner Free Portable retains the simplicity of use offered by other, more complex programs, but with the same price tag of about $25.

Back in 2012, Google launched a TV service. But it didn’t last very long.

The project is back and, this time, Google says that it will stick with it. The company has expanded its TV pilot program, called Google Fiber TV, to the entire country. It will be available in Atlanta, Nashville, Raleigh, and Kansas City in 2016.

Though Google is clear that this is not a replacement for traditional cable, the company is seeing Google Fiber TV as more of a complementary service. “We’re not trying to take a big chunk out of the cable industry,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai told reporters. “It’s an experiment to see how it can be complementary to the cable industry.”

“I love the internet. I love the Web. But I think there’s a lot of room for improvement.”

The move is an about-face for the company, which launched its $1.99 a month TV service in October of 2012 only to pull the plug two months later. At the time, Google said it had built 1,000 Google Fiber nodes throughout Kansas City, Kansas, but hadn’t deployed it to the population because it was afraid of being sued by the cable companies.

In 2016, however, the company changed its tune. “We’re certainly continuing to explore other ways to provide high-speed fiber service to our customers in Kansas City, Kansas,” says communications VP Rick Osterloh. “The premise is very similar to the original Google Fiber TV pilot program. It’s a very low-latency fiber connection that provides a connection for a range of devices and services, as well as high-speed broadband service for the consumer.”

The company is making this expansion to test the service. “We’re starting with these five markets and then we’ll make it available to more cities in the country,” says Pichai. “We’re not announcing anything about pricing yet but we’ll
